Ethno Germany's World Trip Through Music & Dance (2021)
80 young artists from all 5 continents come together at Lichtenberg Castle to learn from and with each other. Together they discover music and dance from their cultures and reinvent traditions.
We join them in their eleven-day process of creation, where wonderful things happen and reveal a big longing:
A world in which a trustful and appreciative living together is the reality - in which differences are there to be celebrated instead of being looked at as a barrier.
The movie by Benjamin Riehm is about the creating and connecting power of music and dance.

ETHNO is a worldwide musical movement connecting people through the powers of music and dance. In Ethno Gatherings, artists from all over the world come together every year and share their music and dance cultures with one another. This happens by ear and feeling in workshops led by participants and supported by artistic mentors. Through this exchange on an equal footing, cultural heritage is studied, kept alive and developed. As a result, not only exciting performances are created, but also global friendships are made.
ETHNO was developed 1990 in Sweden and is present in over 30 countries today.
Since 2013, the ruins of Castle Lichtenberg provide the scenery for a gathering of musicians and dancers from all over the world.
